Last summer we couldn't get this kid out of the pool; this summer has been a different story. She wouldn't get in for about a month. She would just sit on my lap, trembling and peeing on me (really - swim diapers just hold the pooh in) before I would give up after 20 minutes and get a glass of ice water on our way out the fence cursing the extra money we pay every month to the country club for the pool. After a 4th of July trip to Papa Steve and Gigi's pool and the pool on the deck at the lake she's finally a swimmer - at least she was until today when she tripped in the pool and went under when she wasn't ready so we'll see how tomorrow goes.
