Two little videos
It's so funny to see the difference in Livia now that she can sit up on her own, her play has changed tremendously. Here's are videos from the 8th of some afternoon playtime; can you tell when she spots Abby sitting on the chaise?

What a big girl
Livia is doing an outstanding job of sitting up all by herself. She still isn't ready for someone to walk away when sitting but she's getting really close; she will still topple when she's trying to reach too far or turn too fast to see us or the cats so we have to stay within arm's reach to soften the fall.
Easter with the Putnam Family

Grandma and Grandpa Putnam, Aunt Leslie and Uncle Brent, UZ and Uncle Tyler came to celebrate Livia's first Easter. We went to church and brunch at Alvamar before taking a two hour nap. Livia did very well at church even though it was really hot; KinderMusic must be paying off because she likes the singing, the bells and the organ.

New post under the Jumper post
I thought I was so smart and could write a bunch of posts with pictures when I have time and then post them later but evidently they post in the order they were written - no matter what. So there is a new post under the jumper post.

KinderMusic
Two weeks ago Livia and Mommy started KinderMusic on Wednesday mornings. It's run by Miss Janet who used to be a music teacher in the Lawrence school system and she now owns a little music school called the Music Clubhouse. Livia started The Village, which is for kids up to 18 months. Liv is the youngest, Griffin is 9 months (Mommy really has to try hard not to call him Griffindor from Harry Potter), Katie is 15 months and lives in our neighborhood, Greta is also 15 months and Jane is 16 months. All of the other kids have had older siblings who have gone through the program before. Every song has a little activity, saying hello to everyone, "stretching", skipping, dancing and even playing instruments - or Livie's case, eating instruments. There's even a song for the babies to sit by themselves while Mommys have "quiet" time so they learn they don't always have to be entertained. I can't tell if she likes it or not but Miss Janet gives Mommy lots of ideas for playtime, we're learning fun songs to sing (Mommy and Daddy know about three kid songs total) and we're meeting new friends. I'll try to get some pictures this week. In the meantime, these were taken after KinderMusic last week.

One cool chick
A Night on the Town
We decided to do some shopping and a trial-run at a hotel Saturday. We went to the plaza in Kansas City for lunch, shopping and a relaxing night at a hotel where we couldn't do laundry, clean, etc...Livia did a great job but it was strange to sleep in the same room with her again. She was told how cute "he" is while we were out. Sigh. I guess people think little boys wear rainbows and flowers on their shirts.
