Ready for the Pool

Last summer we couldn't get this kid out of the pool; this summer has been a different story. She wouldn't get in for about a month. She would just sit on my lap, trembling and peeing on me (really - swim diapers just hold the pooh in) before I would give up after 20 minutes and get a glass of ice water on our way out the fence cursing the extra money we pay every month to the country club for the pool. After a 4th of July trip to Papa Steve and Gigi's pool and the pool on the deck at the lake she's finally a swimmer - at least she was until today when she tripped in the pool and went under when she wasn't ready so we'll see how tomorrow goes. This is Livia getting ready for the pool.

Farmer Liv

There is a great new place in Topeka called the Discovery Center. Last month we met Bobi, Aunt Paige, Uncle Mike, Carson and Reece there for a morning of play. They had so much fun! We didn't even get to everything because we got side-tracked in a few areas. One of Livia's favorite things was "driving" the John Deere tractor.

Baby Korie

Livia had a new cousin born in June - Korie Paige. She's not really sure what she thinks about her yet but she does not like it when Namma holds her. Livia will put on a show for Korie and does like her toys.
