Dance Party USA

Sometimes we turn on some pop music and just have Dance Party USA at our house. It doesn't usually last too long because there's only so much Beiber, Kesha and the likes I can stand in a row and for some reason Livia doesn't like to dance too much to Mommy's music (in her defense it is hard to dance to some Pearl Jam and Nirvana). Livia likes to march and then march in a circle. It's so funny. She still does the twist and now she "jumps" too. She's got the moves!

Christmas pics don't end!

We still had another Christmas! We went to Papa and Gigi's the day after Christmas for a yummy lunch and fun with cousins! Oh - and just a little bit of spoiling; okay, a lot of spoiling.

More Christmas?

Yes. The memories never end. Sorry for the lapse in posts - Mommy and Daddy went to California without a certain Prankster. And we had FUN but we missed her a lot; sometimes Mommy and Daddy just need to get out of town for a bit. Thanks for staying Bobi!

Oh no! Send it Back

Now there are two fighting over boxes - Livia and Abby. When I asked Livia if we should seal up the box and send Abby back she said, "no".

To Bed?

Does this mean she's close to putting herself to bed? Probably not. It's a good thing, Mommy would miss the rocking and snuggling up close.

Lazy Snow Day

We had a snow day yesterday. A snow day at our house is when we stay in our pajamas, Mommy hurries to shovel the driveway during nap time and we read "The Snowy Day".

Thomas the Train Chair

We had our Christmas party with our good friends after New Year's Day and watched the KU basketball game. We had fun with the Kirklands and Sloans and KU won! Joshua has a Thomas the Train rocking chair his grandma and grandpa made for him. Livia thought it was pretty cool.

Lollies

Our friend Mum calls the fun popcicles Bobi has at her house "lollies". Bobi was kind enough to share her lolly with Livia on Christmas. Livia is a fan. Her tongue couldn't have been further out of her mouth trying to lick the lolly off her chin.

Playing with Reece

Christmas evening Reece was playing with a toy car. We thought Livia wanted to get in it with him but it turns out she just wanted to open and close the door which she likes to do anytime she sees a door or a cabinet these days. She also played kitchen with him. I know what someone is getting next year for Christmas to go with those empty boxes!

Edutiles

About a month ago we went to visit our friends Jimmie, Erin, Joshua and little baby Alyssa. Joshua did a great job sharing his toys with Livia and she took a shine to his edutiles. We thought it would be a great idea for Christmas. She loves to take them apart and then chew on them. Of course.

Cheap Christmas!

Next year we'll save our money and spend a small portion on shirt boxes and wrapping paper.

The Whirly Thing

Bobi has a very cool toy at her house. You push a button and the ball inside lights up and spins really fast. Livia can do it now. She thinks it's great. She also likes it when Bobi reads Sesame Street books to her.
